🔴 The TikTok Trend That's STILL Making People Thousands

Welcome back to another week of the streaming and content grind.

Has your viewer count gone down recently? My poll suggests that 50% of TikTok streamers think so.

The TikTok LIVE NPC trend is alive and kicking. This week PinkyDoll appeared at the Streamys to present an award (MrBeast won the leading award and didn’t show up). The audience of fellow creators gave her one of the night's biggest cheers!

Anyway, while PinkyDoll was busy presenting awards, Jason Reborn was entering “glizzy overdrive” on TikTok! 🤣 

Here's my quick analysis:

• As I said when I first covered this trend, you need to try and find a way to be unique. Jason clearly has *special* abilities with his throat and mouth and is using that to his advantage. ^{_{I can’t believe I’m seriously writing this}} 😂

• At the end of the day, Jason’s providing entertainment to the viewers. However, this hasn’t stopped people from mass reporting him as the videos on his profile suggest. It’s a reminder to spread your wings to as many platforms as possible.

• This is a trend that will die. PinkyDoll though, has shown how to capitalise on it. She has used it as a marketing opportunity for multiple things including OnlyFans, a new music single, major brand deals and more.

If you’re hopping on this trend then make sure you have an exit strategy. I hope Jason does!

🔗 Major YouTube Shorts Changes

Starting today, YouTube is removing the ability to click links in Shorts comments and descriptions. In place of that, you can now link any of your videos, livestreams or other Shorts directly on a Short.

If you’re using Shorts with links, make a plan of action now:

• Immediately update your top Shorts with a direct link to a video. You need to be on the desktop YouTube Studio to do this. The tweet above outlines the process.

• For future Shorts, make a callout to the new video link feature instead of calling out the link in the comments.

• You can add livestreams as well as videos to this! Consider making a Short which advertises your YouTube stream and adding in the livestream link.

😡 Jakey Boehm Calls Out TikTok

Last week I wrote about Jakey Boehm, the most famous sleep streamer on TikTok. His view count went down and he constantly gets warnings.

Jakey has now released a passionate video outlining the issues and his plan. (TikTok removed it twice)
