We’re a few weeks on from Twitch’s multistream announcement and as expected many large creators are finally joining the simulcast bandwagon. The doc ain’t convinced yet though.

📈 Case Study - How Ventisfit Gets More Subs and Gifts

Time for another TikTok LIVE case study and this week we are back at the top of the gaming weekly ranking looking at Ventisfit.

The Setup

Venti streams horror games on TikTok LIVE, typically getting around 200 concurrent viewers. He can be commonly found towards the top of the gaming weekly ranking.

Both the gifts and the subscribers are often flowing rapidly. He makes frequent use of the in-built gift goals and sub-goals as well as displaying a TikFinity or LIVE Studio coin goal on his stream.

He has an impressive 1,088 paid TikTok subs, netting him over $2,200 per month!

Throughout the stream, he is highly engaged with chat. He always calls out new gifters and subscribers and frequently makes note of the current sub and gift goals.

He is also a high-energy and likeable character, a key component required of every successful streamer.

Breaking It Down

Why is he successful? Alongside the factors mentioned above, here are my thoughts.

1. Audience. The horror games genre can be highly profitable. There is less competition compared to games like Fortnite and a largely adult audience. That means his audience has more disposable income compared to the 13-year-old watching your Fortnite stream. Venti takes full advantage of this, far better than most.

2. Community. He then takes this monetisable audience and converts it into a strong community. He has a large Discord community of over 2,000 people and he also frequently encourages his subscribers to use their emotes. Viewers feel like they are missing out and proceed to sub.

3. Technology. He makes great use of the technology provided by LIVE Studio and TikFinity. For example, subscribers get access to TTS and he always has overlays on screen such as coin and like goals. He also makes use of a soundboard, likely triggered from a Stream Deck or similar device.

As with most successful creators, Venti puts the time in. He streams most days from 6 pm CST onwards, meaning his viewers always know when to come back.

Yes, that’s right. I am telling you to stream fewer hours per month.

I read thousands of posts per month on X and follow hundreds of creators. The post above really resonated with me.

Context

Loochy is a Kick streamer and content creator. He mainly plays Warzone. He’s grown his platforms to over 3M on TikTok, 200k on YouTube and 26K on Kick.

Loochy takes moments from his streams and turns them into well scripted and well edited TikToks and long-form YouTube videos. He DOES NOT just dump unedited 30 second clips from his streams.

His Kick top gifter list shows he has earned over $50K just from gifted subs alone!

Key Points

So if he’s getting thousands of gifted subs, why is he saying stream less?

1. Discovery. Posting your content on other platforms will help bring more viewers to your stream. Loochy prominently displays his Kick stream in his bio on YT/TikTok.

2. Monetisation. Creators should be looking to monetise in as many places as possible. That way if revenue drops on one platform you keep earning elsewhere. Alongside Kick, Loochy earns from the TikTok Creativity Program and the YouTube Partner Program.

3. Diversification. In the same manner, you should be looking to protect yourself in case the worst happens. You could get banned or even worse, your country could ban the platform.
   
   TikTok is banned in India and the US government is considering a similar move. Protect yourself by posting content to more platforms and building a strong community!

I challenge you right now to think about your content strategy. Cut your streaming time by at least 20% and use that time to produce high-quality content for another platform. Loochy’s plan is smart, he uses moments from his streams.

Go beyond just unedited clips and don’t forget to cross-post short-form content to TikTok, Shorts, Insta Reels, and Facebook Reels (yes really). Consider X and Snapchat too.
