🔴 Another Way To Get A TikTok Stream Key

Anyway, let’s dive in. It’s been a busy few weeks of announcements and updates for quite a few different streaming and content platforms including potential new methods for TikTok PC streaming.

🟣 Twitch Finally Allows Simulcasting

Whilst I wasn’t at TwitchCon in Las Vegas, I have been closely following events via X. The whole vibe around TwitchCon this year seems much more positive than last year. Partly thanks to Dan Clancy, Twitch’s relatively new CEO.

Anyway, the big announcement coming out of TwitchCon this year was one of my favourite topics!

Multistreaming On Twitch Is Here!

Twitch has finally caved to the pressure from streamers and other platforms and is now allowing multistreaming to all platforms. Previously they just allowed TikTok and Instagram simulcasting.

As is often the case, prominent streamer Ninja appeared to be highly influential in getting this change pushed through. Just a few weeks prior, he had dinner the Dan Clancy.

There are some limitations like not being allowed to merge chats. However as Nutty pointed out and as I agreed, Twitch has never enforced their old multistream ban anyway.

I’ve talked many times about the benefits but basically multistreaming means more of every metric you can think of. More viewers, more money, more followers and of course crucially, more chances to build a strong community.

Useful Resources

There are so many ways to multistream. Here are some free and paid methods.

• OBS + LIVE Studio - Simply turn on the OBS virtual cam and send your OBS feed into LS. Tutorial.

• Aitum Vertical - If you have a stream key for TikTok you can use Aitum Vertical to stream on two platforms with one OBS client for free. Tutorial.

• Streamlabs Ultra - My recommended multistream method. I do this myself. Streamlabs Desktop gives you a vertical and landscape canvas and allows streaming on up to 7 platforms. My affiliate link gives $9 off your first month. Tutorial.

🔴 TikTok LIVE Updates

There’s been a string of impactful TikTok LIVE updates recently. The promotions below may be country-based.

• LIVE Studio can be unlocked at 0 followers during a special promotion run by TikTok. I have not been able to replicate this myself but TheBoss_Amanda shared this screenshot. Pay attention to the banners that appear when you watch a stream!

• LIVE Drops are now a thing on TikTok. They work the same as Twitch drops. TikTok is running a US-only Minecraft campaign. Look out for this option inside LIVE Studio or in your app. Viewers love free stuff so make sure you join any available campaigns in your country.

• BBC Children in Need is running a special charity campaign on TikTok LIVE in the UK. For any Pudsey gifts received they will donate part of it to charity.

• Creator Growth Program gives you direct access to TikTok staff and can help you get a 🔑 stream key. US/CA creators can apply here.

• Subfest is a promotion giving viewers 30% off a new subscription. It ends on 17th November. Make sure your viewers are aware.

• Sub prices can be lowered to $3 inside the app. Combined with the Subfest promo this will lower the price of a $3 sub to just $2.10.

• FaZe Clan is sold for just $16M, a few years after announcing a $1B stock market floatation. That’s just 1.6% of their target value. OG member FaZe Banks returns as CEO.

• SSSniperWolf gets demonetised by YouTube after doxxing a fellow creator. YouTube is also heavily criticised for its response. This article provides a good summary.

• MrBeast crosses 200M subscribers. He is estimated to become the most subscribed YouTube channel sometime during early 2024.
