🔴 Streamlabs Now Supports TikTok LIVE

Apply for access to use Streamlabs!

Issue #46

Hey, it’s Harry.

Welcome back to another week of the streaming and content journey.

Today is a year and a day since 14th April 2023 when the very first edition of this newsletter was sent to just 12 people. Fast forward one year and it’s going out to over 1,800 creators. Thanks for being part of the journey and here’s to many more years!

On with the newsletter…

Last week we once again witnessed the power of livestreaming with over 1M people watching the North American solar eclipse live on the NASA YouTube channel.

Make sure you’re taking advantage of major events in your game or niche!

🟢 Streamlabs Launches A Direct TikTok LIVE Integration

It’s now even easier to stream to TikTok LIVE from Streamlabs. You can even multistream to two platforms for free!

Everything You Need To Know

No more stream keys required. You can now apply for access to livestream from Streamlabs Desktop. Once you’re granted access there is no more stream key hassle. Simply hit “Go Live”, enter a stream title and you’re good to go!

How It Works

The application form will ask you to share a link to an external streaming platform such as Twitch or YouTube alongside sharing your concurrent viewer count and proof that you own the channel.

Cait on X shared that she posted a screenshot of her Twitch stream manager and stated she had 10 concurrent viewers.

According to the poll on my YouTube channel, the success rate of the application process is around 40%. I’ve tried on a few different accounts and experienced all three outcomes. One was accepted, a few were declined and one is still pending despite the claim of a reply in “one business day”.

But Harry, Why Would I Use Streamlabs?

Good question. Streamlabs is built on the OBS infrastructure. This means more control over your stream settings like more audio options. More importantly, though, is easy multistreaming.

With Streamlabs Dual Output you can stream for free to two platforms, one landscape platform and one vertical. Even better, if you buy Streamlabs Ultra you get to multistream to up to 9 vertical and landscape platforms.

Closing Thoughts

You may as well apply for access because we all know grabbing your stream key every livestream is annoying.

However, I still recommend joining a free-to-join agency. Not only do they give you a free stream key and therefore the option to use Streamlabs, OBS, Restream or any other platform but they can also provide training and help protect you if you’re falsely banned. An agency is a free insurance policy.

📽 Four Ways To Get Access To TikTok Computer Streaming

And with the above update, there are now four methods for getting access to computer streaming.

  1. Streamlabs application. 👆 See above.

  2. Stream key. Granted by free-to-join agencies.

  3. LIVE Studio. Download LS and if you don’t yet have access there should be an apply button. It’s often based on your follower count.

  4. Falcon application. This is an alternative application form which typically grants access to LIVE Studio.

🎯 Bullet Point News

  • Ninja confirms that he is now cancer-free following an operation to remove skin cancer in his foot.

  • MrBeast reveals he has made over $1M from X/Twitter video ad revenue.

  • IShowSpeed makes an appearance at Wrestle Mania, getting RKO’d by Randy Orton. He then gets signed by Prime afterwards.

  • Twitch will start sharing ad revenue with music labels during DJ livestreams.

  • Twitch now allows you to react to VODs or livestreams of suspended users. This likely happened because many Twitch streamers wanted to watch content from banned streamers like Adin Ross and DrDisrespect.
