People to learn from, underrated tools and thoughts on shadow bans
Hey, it’s Harry.
Welcome back to another week of the streaming and content journey.
Keep learning.
That’s the direct answer to the subject of today’s email. So while we’re in a quieter period where platforms tend not to release updates let’s look at some incredibly useful tools to help you learn and grow as a creator in 2024.

🛑 Shadow banned? Here’s a thought
📚 Learn From These Geniuses
Most of my content strategy comes from observing and learning from other creators. Multistreaming? I got that from Devin Nash. This newsletter? Massively inspired by Justin Moore. I’ll link both later.
Here are some YouTube channels that I’ve learned a ton from.
Devin Nash
Devin’s deep dives give you a great understanding of the streaming and content space. He’s got years of experience both as a creator and ad agency owner.
As mentioned, his content has shaped my strategy including my stance on multistreaming and the idea of being platform agnostic (not too reliant on one app).Colin and Samir
Want a breakdown of the creator economy? There is no better channel.
Colin and Samir have interviewed most of the top creators. Don’t know where to start? Sort their channel by popular and watch the first MrBeast video!Senpai Gaming
Also known as Harris Heller, this channel has provided many incredible streamer resources.
Need copyright-free music? He made StreamBeats.
Need a vertical OBS canvas? He made Aitum Vertical.
Need advice on streaming strategy or gear? His YouTube channel is there.Paddy Galloway
Paddy doesn’t post much but when he does post his analysis is always top-notch. He works behind the scenes with some of the world’s biggest YouTubers. Few people understand YouTube better than Paddy.
🔧 Underrated Tools
When it comes to tech I have always tried to keep my software and hardware as simple as possible. Here are many of the software and tools I use. There may be more powerful tools out there but these work for me!
ShortKeys
Ever found yourself repeatedly typing the same message? ShortKeys is the easy solution. For example, I type //list and https://www.toktutorials.com/list-of-agencies magically appears. Funnily enough, I found this tool from my days playing RuneScape 😂.Gyazo
Another tool I first used on RS that has massively helped me as a creator.
Need to easily screenshot something? I just click my gyazo shortcut on my taskbar, drag to screenshot and it is instantly uploaded into the cloud and the link has been copied to my clipboard so all I have to do is paste it to the person I am sending it to!VEED*
Every video I’ve made in the past year has been edited with this online video editing tool. It lets me remove all video silence with one click and also easily add subtitles. It’s fantastic for educational content and all short-form content.Streamlabs Ultra*
My go-to software for multistreaming. Streamlabs makes it so easy. You just add your accounts in the settings and you can stream from one client with one upload stream. More about multistreaming here.
Oh, and multistreaming is just one of the many benefits of Ultra.

📰 Newsletters
Below is simply every newsletter that drops into my inbox every week (or day).
Creator Wizard*
Learn more about sponsorship strategy and get a weekly list of sponsors. Nobody knows more on this subject than Justin Moore AKA the Creator Wizard.
As said earlier, he massively inspired me to create this newsletter and his content has also helped me when negotiating sponsorships.Publish Press
I mentioned Colin and Samir’s YouTube channel earlier. Their newsletter is just as useful.
Three times a week their Publish Press team drops the latest creator news in your inbox. Coupled with this newsletter you’ll be on top of all the latest streaming and content news!SuperHuman*
This is a daily AI newsletter with over 500K readers.
As a creator, it is important to follow the latest tech trends. As well as giving you daily AI news the SuperHuman newsletter will do just that.Creator Hooks*
Want to get better at writing YouTube titles? This is the place to start.
Every week Jake Thomas will send you 5 viral video titles to inspire you.Write On Time
Struggling to write your video scripts properly? Video retention tanking? George Blackman sends weekly tips that will help you write better videos that generate more views.

𝕏 Amazing X Accounts
Yes, good Twitter accounts still exist! Here are three.
Roberto Blake
The advantage of X Premium (AKA Twitter Blue) is that you can now write long-form essays and nobody in the content creation space does this better than Roberto.
Roberto has content for anyone. Full-time job? Over 30? Roberto shows you how to succeed as a creator regardless of your situation in life. I want to stress that his content will help any creator, those were just examples!Muaaz
Get a daily dose of inspiration coupled with some of the best creator advice out there. Muaaz brings the vibes to X.Ali Abdaal
I could have listed Ali in any of the YouTube, newsletter or Twitter categories. He’s the world’s most-followed productivity expert for a reason.
He shares advice about how to “build a life you love” along with his experience of growing a YouTube channel to over 5M followers.
