🏆 The Streamer Awards Is Back

Last Saturday the third annual Streamer Awards took place and improved on its year one and two viewership. Kai Cenat took the top award for the second year running.

Now in its third year, the event is organised by QTCinderella. With her agency Loaded she secured sponsors such as AT&T which helped pay for the venue and the very professional production. The closing credits ran for over five minutes. This shows the mammoth effort that went into hosting this event.

So why did this year outperform the first and second years? Two main reasons: multistreaming and co-streaming. With high viewership now proven over two years, QT could now prove to her sponsors that the audience is there and could open up the show to other platforms and streamers.

So are the Streamer Awards relevant to small streamers? I think so. Just like the coveted silver and gold YouTube play buttons, the Streamer Awards serve as motivation for all livestreamers. You can find a full list of winners here.

Now speaking of motivation, check out the post of the week below!

📜 Post Of The Week

I did not expect Jynxzi of all people to have such great advice for both content creation and life in general. Don’t judge a book by its cover!

The below video is well worth a minute of your time.

🔴 YouTube Shorts Streaming Review

In the last edition of Live Success YouTube had just fully launched YouTube Shorts livestreaming. Let’s review the early results.

First-mover advantage can be big and early results from multiple creators point towards more viewership than their landscape YouTube streams. It’s not just big streamers like Nick. Smaller streamers like RevDMQ have reported five times the usual viewership.

As creators and streamers, it is important to experiment from time to time. I encourage you to give Shorts streaming a go. Feel free to hit reply and let me know if you’ve tried it. I love reading the replies!

Tutorials for Shorts streaming can be found on this playlist.
